This Project's focus is a broadcast documentary journey which begins with the 1839 expedition of John Lloyd Stephens and Frederick Catherwood whose adventures brought the mysterious Maya civilization to the general public. Our film expedition travels through the jungles of Central America and Mexico to ancient temples and magnificent ruins in search of clues about the roles of the mysterious rulers of the Mayan Empire.

Renown archeologists and cultural preservationists join in the journey to understand to the truth about the mysterious Mayan civilization.

A historical account of the Mayan civilization to promote awareness and cultural heritage preservation.
Insights into a new era of socially responsible archeology. Students of archeology and anthropology can learn and be inspired by the successes of projects involved with the local communities surrounding historically significant sites in Guatemala.
